NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2016) - The power of the Pillboard™ is going digital. Tri State Distribution, one of the nation's largest manufacturers of prescription packaging, container and marketing technology, today launched ePillboard™ -- a revolutionary new system designed to change how pharmacies market and advertise to their customers, and communicate with the communities they serve.
Following in the footsteps of Tri State Distribution's pioneering set of Pillboard™ products, which enable pharmacies to communicate with, educate and market to their customers on the specially-designed caps of the patented ProTect® vial line as well as the third panel of the patented TriMaxx® series, ePillboard™ gives pharmacies the means to diversify their marketing, advertising and customer communications onto a digital, in-store platform.
In today's challenging healthcare market, the growth and survival of a pharmacy is especially dependent on the attraction of new, and retention of existing, customers. ePillboard™ allows pharmacies to conduct continuous, automated target marketing and communication to existing and potential customers, while simultaneously using the system to optimize patient health and wellness.
"We are constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries to design new products that help pharmacies -- both large and small -- provide better care for their patients, differentiate from and limit customer 'churn' to competitors, enhance and reinforce brand quality, and increase customer loyalty. At the end of the day, ePillboard™ is the kind of investment in quality that makes a pharmacy's businesses stronger," said Joe Miceli, president of Tri State Distribution. "This is a first-of-its-kind innovation for the pharmacy space -- it completely changes the way stores interact with customers, giving them the cutting-edge tools necessary to positively impact their revenue streams around the clock."
The ePillboard™ system is designed around a trio of digital monitors housed in three separate locations across a pharmacy. The primary and secondary displays are positioned near the waiting area and storefront respectively, while the third screen is placed in the pharmacy's drive-thru window. Together, the screens use professionally designed, full-color digital graphics to highlight important drug safety information, showcase pharmacy and partner advertising about a product or service, share community news or event calendars or offer other information designed to assist or market to a customer. The ePillboard™ system and content is completely customized to each pharmacy and is created and managed by Tri State Distribution's specialized design department.
"In-store marketing through customized, full color digital screens is an entirely new concept for the pharmacy space," said Dave Miceli, vice president of Tri State Distribution. "This is a simple yet smart marketing strategy that is effective in other areas of the healthcare world, such as physician offices. ePillboard™ is not just about giving pharmacies an opportunity to display their own custom content, but it provides them with the opportunity to establish added-value advertising and referral-marketing partnerships with local medical practices, businesses and community organizations."
Continued Joe Miceli, "Pharmacies are always asking the question, 'How do I differentiate myself from the other guy?' The answer is by using smart, focused marketing that employs the latest innovations and technology that no one else is using. Marketing like this is the only way to get significant results. This isn't a cookie-cutter program; the ePillboard™ is truly unique -- there has never been anything like it in a pharmacy setting before today."
